GiGi Investments Partners with HPY Sorting to Revolutionize Ore Processing in Southern Africa

GiGi Investments has secured an exclusive partnership with Ganzhou HPY Technology Co., Ltd., a global leader in sensor-based ore sorting technology. Under this strategic agreement, GiGi Mining Services, a subsidiary of GiGi Investments, will serve as the sole distributor of HPY’s advanced ore sorting solutions across South Africa and neighboring countries.

Advancing Mining Efficiency and Sustainability

“This partnership marks a significant milestone for the region’s mining industry,” said Graham Russell, CEO of GiGi Investments. “HPY’s advanced sorting solutions will enable mining operations to achieve greater efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and maximize profitability.”

HPY dominates China’s AI-driven ore sorting market with an 80% market share, boasting over 200 patents and more than 400 deployed sorting systems worldwide. The company’s flagship innovation, the Circle Series, is the world’s first ring-shaped XRT ore sorting machine. This groundbreaking technology enhances ore sorting capabilities by delivering twice the accuracy, triple the processing capacity, a reduced physical footprint, and lower energy consumption.

GiGi Investments has partnered exclusively with Ganzhou HPY Technology Co., Ltd., a global leader in AI-driven ore sorting, to revolutionize Southern Africa’s mining industry. Through its subsidiary, GiGi Mining Services, the company will distribute HPY’s cutting-edge sensor-based sorting solutions, including the groundbreaking Circle Series XRT ore sorter. This technology enhances efficiency, reduces environmental impact, and maximizes profitability for mining operations.

Cutting-Edge Technology for Enhanced Ore Recovery

The HPY sorting system utilizes high-speed, high-definition cameras and X-ray transmission sensors powered by proprietary AI algorithms. These innovations efficiently separate valuable ore from waste at an early stage, significantly reducing processing costs, increasing yield, and lowering environmental impact.

“We are proud to partner with GiGi Investments and to introduce our industry-leading technology to Southern Africa,” said Ferry Meng, HPY Director for the Africa Region. “Our systems improve ore recovery rates while minimizing waste, water usage, and energy consumption. Through close collaboration, we will assist mining companies in unlocking new levels of efficiency and sustainability.”

A New Testing Facility for Faster Results

A key component of the partnership is the establishment of a dedicated test laboratory in South Africa. “Previously, ore samples had to be sent to HPY’s head office for analysis, delaying project assessments by several weeks,” explained Brent Smith, GM of GiGi Mining Services. “Now, we will have the capability to conduct tests locally, providing rapid insights into the economic viability of ore deposits and optimizing sorting parameters for our clients.”

Aligning with ESG and the Circular Economy

Beyond operational efficiency, this partnership supports global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) objectives. HPY’s sensor-based sorting technology contributes to the circular economy by conserving water, reducing CO² emissions, and minimizing energy consumption. Mining companies can now process ore more sustainably and extract valuable materials from previously uneconomical waste dumps.

GiGi Mining Services Leading the Rollout

Based in Boksburg, GiGi Mining Services will spearhead the regional rollout of HPY’s sensor-based sorting solutions. As a specialist ore sorting provider within the GiGi Investments Group, GiGi Mining Services joins a portfolio of companies delivering high-performance solutions to the mining industry, including Integrated Pump Technology, Integrated Air Solutions, and Integrated Fire Technology.

This strategic partnership is set to redefine ore sorting in Southern Africa, providing world-class solutions that drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainability for the mining sector.
